Taylor Insurance was founded in 1954 by Berry B. Taylor, who originally came to Cleburne, Texas to raise cattle. He established the firm as a reliable and honest ally of the city of Cleburne. In 1974, Berry's son Dan joined the business and was taught the trade by his father. When Berry retired, Dan took over the business and kept the Taylor family name intact. Dan offered partnership to Vance Castles in 1984, and the two have been working together since. Taylor Insurance has been formally recognized countless times as a leader in sales and customer satisfaction, and it has received many awards for excellence during its long lifetime.

	A graduate of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, Dan W. Taylor has been at Taylor Insurance since 1974. He has been recognized with the Million Dollar Round Table and the Texas Leaders Round Table awards for his accomplishments while working at Taylor Insurance, and these are only a handful of his achievements over the years.
